At JEDA, we believe that when women are empowered, whole communities become stronger and more self-reliant. Women play a big role in families and society. They take care of children, support their households, and contribute to the community in many ways. But many times, women face challenges such as lack of education, poverty, gender-based violence, and limited economic opportunities.
To solve this, JEDA runs different programs to support and empower women. We help them gain important skills through training workshops in areas like tailoring, business, farming, and financial literacy. This helps women start their own businesses, earn income, and support their families.
We also work with women groups and investment clubs to teach them how to save and invest money. These groups give women a safe space to share ideas, learn from each other, and build confidence.
Another important part of our work is fighting gender-based violence and promoting women’s rights. We provide legal support, counseling, and safe spaces for women who face abuse or discrimination.
By empowering women, we see big changes in their lives and in the lives of their children. They become role models, leaders, and active members of their communities. Children grow up in safer, healthier, and more hopeful homes.
When women succeed, everyone benefits. At JEDA, we are committed to building strong communities from the ground up by putting women at the center of development. Together, we can create a brighter and fairer future for all.
